About Us

Haycom Technology is a 100% West Australian owned and operated business. The doors were opened on August 8th 1988 as Hay Computers at 900 Hay St Perth (hence the name). Initially trading as a retail operation it wasn't long before the common sense approach towards retailing attracted a strong business/commercial clientele who demanded a no nonsense, honest retailer to provide quality computer products at a realistic price.

As the computer industry matured, and technology and services become more involved, the need for a computer company that could understand a greater variety of client’s requirements became necessary. To reflect this Hay Computers changed its name to Haycom Technology. It also involved a move to Murray St in Perth and the commercial side of the business became the dominant focus. During our time at Murray St our staff grew and our capabilities expanded. We acquired the skill sets that our corporate clientele were looking for, such as Novell Certified Engineers and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers. Our range of products grew to encompass almost everything a small to medium sized business would need in regards to IT.

Even though we were now focusing on things such as server systems, network implementations, remote computing etc our down to earth, straightforward and friendly nature was maintained and even purposefully enhanced. There are a lot of IT companies out there these days who have the “smarts” but there are few who can truly relate to the client at a common level and even have a good laugh with them! One thing Haycom Technology believes in strongly is that the IT industry does not have to be all bits, bytes, tcpip, etc, let us take care of that and let you get on with what you know and maybe have a laugh with us at the same time! Hence our motto “Real people, Real computer solutions”.

In 2002 we moved to Victoria Park, just over the causeway to better service our clients by not being in the conjested CBD.

In 2011 we made the move to our new office in Kewdale. We are still 10 minutes away from the Perth CBD and can get to all our clients quickly. Our new premises made it easier for both clients, couriers and staff alike with better parking facilities and accessibility. Haycom Technology these days has a firmly established reputation for providing a high level of friendly, informed, cost effective and up to date complete IT solutions.
